It took me a while to figure this out, but F9 key (Cont. Triggered capture) only works if 'Scope Graph' or 'Signal Information' window is active (highlighted).
Other windows including 'Cleverscope Control Panel' window where the button is located, ignore F9.
I would assume other keys behave similarly.
This is very annoying if you do not notice the active window.
