I am trying to get the scope to trigger or capture the signal when the signal goes away. I am troubleshooting an AC signal that dies randomly and does not come back. I want to capture the last AC cycle before this happens. On my Tek scope I could set a time out trigger, where the acquisition would happen if the trigger event did not happen in a certain amount of time. If I set this value just longer than the period of the signal in question I would be able to get a capture just over 1 cycle after the signal dies. Is this possible with the Cleverscope?
Thank you for your input.

Hello AJ,
Yes you can easily trigger on a time out.
Check out our triggering video here:
https://cleverscope.com/videos/cs548-triggering/

On the Cscope Control panel click the Trig2 button in the Trigger area. Then click on the blue question mark to see the Triggering help. You will want to setup Trigger 1 to be something like Chan A, rising through 0V (or higher if you want to capture the start of the decay). On the Trigger 2 Setup panel click the Trigger 2 definition option. Then set the source to be the same channel you selected for Trigger 1, with the same level, with the same rising slope.

Now on the Trigger panel set Use to Trig 1~2 > max. Assuming a 60 Hz cycle (16.66ms), set the max to 20ms or more. Now capture Triggered. You should see no triggering until the Trigger condition is met, ie the second trigger is not triggering in 20ms.

If there is a lot of signal noise you might like to use a Trigger Filter. On the LHS of the Trigger panel choose a Filter of Low Pass or Noise.

Let me know if that helps.
