Hi there,

is it possible to trigger the Aquisition Unit on the SGs (f.e. sine) zero-transition without using the ext trig channel, just by internal sync of SG and AU? Or are these two units ""stand-alone""-modules just installed in the same housing? The reason for asking is the fact that frequency-response-measurement with the cleverscope are quite difficult to perform with the inaccuracies deriving from triggering with ext trig connected to the SG. I wish to get independent of the CAU-op-amp's rise-times.

Regards

Hi Daniel,
If you use the ""sweep synchronous"" option for the SG then the frequency is only adjusted between sample frames.

Thanks for your answer,

so it seems that there is some kind of communication between SG and AU, but is it possible to set the timebase of each captured frame to zero for the point of time when the SG has it's zero transition? AKA triggering on the discrete voltage the DDS is putting out (0V)?

Hello daniel,
At the moment we do not have a facility to trigger on the zero crossing, as the signal is generated with a DDS chip quite independant of acquisition processor and logic. However, we do have control of the phase, so we could force the phase to 0, and start the frame at that point. However this would result in a discontinuity at the point at which we set the phase to 0.
