I just installed Windows 7 for some development I need to do but now the NI-VISA drivers don't work. Is there an update that will work with Windows 7?
Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,
You need to keep an eye on the National Instruments site and they will advise when one is available. At this stage they are saying they are not providing one until the the OS is officially released. I suggest you keep trying this search - http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no?q=%22Windows+7%22+NI-Visa&ps=10&sn=&ap=global
Of course it is not just the NI-Visa driver but also Labview itself may require updating.
We will also be keeping an eye on it and will advise when we have tested the NI-Visa driver and the Cleverscope application and can support the new OS.
Regards,
Roger

Roger,
Thanks for the reply. If National Instruments releases a driver can I just use that one or does Cleverscope have a customized version?

Eric,
We do not customise NI-Visa, the one they release will be what we will use.

I just got it to work. Since I had done an update over an existing Vista install I figured when it told me that the NI-VISA driver would not work it knew what it was talking about. But I just decided to reinstall the driver in Windows 7 and it seems to be working fine. I should have known better than to listen to Microsoft and tried the reinstall to begin with :)
