I want to acquire a single capture which starts when I tell it manually. As far as I can tell, the Single trigger control arms the scope ready to perform a single acquisition but requires the trigger event to make it actually start recording.
Or am I missing something?
Basically I am expecting to see the equivalent of the Run button on an HP scope where this forces an immediate trigger event.
Thanks for your help

Hello starman,
I've an idea. Use the external trigger with the probe compensation output or another cont. signal in the trigger mode ""single"". If you click ""Single"", the acquisition starts with a short delay (< (1/f)). That doesn't matter when you start manually, I think.
Best regards
